Guess what! … Financial literacy is NOT taught in our school systems today! A few districts around the country have started, but most are electives and certainly none take it to the extent that it is needed. That is why it is vital parents have these conversations with their kids, and we are here to help.
We understand that, more than likely, no one taught you financial literacy either, so we want to help you know the “how” and “when” to start these conversations. A Cambridge University study showed that most kids understand basic money concepts by the age of 3, and by the age of 7, many money habits have already been set. So it is essential to start early.
MM&M was created to:
- Encourage parents to talk to their kids about money
- Discuss funding a college education in a way you may never have thought of before
- Keep students from going tens of thousands of dollars in debt
- Learn from one another
