• Women contribute less annually than men to their workplace retirement accounts, by 43% and have significantly lower account balances by 65%. ^{_{– T. Rowe Price Retirement Savings and Spending Study 2022}}
• Women are away from the work force an average of 14.7 years as compared to 1.6 years for men.
• Women live on average 7 years longer than men, yet have less retirement savings.
• Women need about 20% more retirement savings than men.
• 90% of women will have sole responsibility for their finances at some point in their lifetime, yet 79% have not planned for this.
